Funds That Meet Your Needs

The Birmingham Jewish Foundation will help you choose the best personal giving opportunity from our available funds.  We will help you with a fund that meets your needs and fulfills your charitable objectives.  All funds created in the Foundation will bear your family name or another name in perpetuity…your legacy!

Types of Endowments:

Unrestricted Endowment
This type of fund has no restrictions.  It ensures that dollars are available for the Foundation to respond to current and future Community needs as well as emergency situations. 

Donor Advised Funds
A Donor Advised Fund is an appealing and flexible charitable giving option. You are able to recommend support for causes that interest you now and in the future, while being eligible for an immediate tax deduction for all amounts contributed to the fund.

Designated Endowment and Agency Designated Endowments
This fund is designated to support a field of interest, such as a scholarship for continuing Jewish education, providing for a summer Jewish camp experience, assisting the needy, or building interfaith bridges in our Community. Or, the fund may be used to support a particular Jewish agency or organization.

Perpetual Annual Campaign Endowment (PACE) - A PACE Fund is created to provide an annual gift in perpetuity to the Birmingham Jewish Federation Annual Campaign.

Lion of Judah Endowment - A LOJE Fund is designed to perpetuate a woman's Lion of Judah gift to the annual Birmingham Jewish Federation Campaign.

The mission of the Birmingham Jewish Foundation is to serve as a central Jewish Community endowment to secure and provide ongoing support for the current and future well-being of the Jewish people and others locally, nationally, in Israel and throughout the world.
